Kat Autiö (they/them)

Founder & Editor-in-Chief / Web Designer, Infocalypse Press

Kat Autiö (they/them) is the founder, Editor-in-Chief, and web designer of Infocalypse Press, a multimedia cynosure for recursive futurism, experimental art, and radical imagination. They hold a BA in Education from the University of Alberta, majoring in English, and serve as Curriculum Coordinator of the Arts at a leading arts school in Edmonton.

A queer artist and lifelong punk forged in the 1980s underground, Kat’s creative life bridges noise and nuance—equal parts performer, fabric artist, writer, and arts advocate. Under both their own name and the nom de plume Zephyris, they craft poetry, fiction, and non-fiction that tangle with recursion, resistance, and the intimate circuitry between memory and invention.

Deeply rooted in Edmonton’s vibrant arts community, Kat champions collaboration across mediums—building connective tissue between stages, studios, classrooms, and the experimental frontiers of digital art. Their leadership reflects a belief that art, like rebellion, is most alive when shared.
